The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has released the advertisement for the Assistant Commandant recruitment under various branches for the 2026 Batch. Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

   • General Duty (GD):

     • Bachelor's Degree with at least 60% marks in all semesters.
     • Must have studied Maths and Physics in 10 2.

   • Technical (Engineering/Mechanical):

     • BE/B.Tech in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial and Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering.
     • Minimum 60% marks in the degree, with Maths and Physics in 10 2.

   • Technical (Electrical/Electronics):

     • Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, or related fields.
     • Minimum 60% marks, with Maths and Physics in 10 2.

2. Age Limit (as on July 1, 2025):

   • Minimum Age: 21 years
   • Maximum Age: 25 years
   • Age Relaxation: As per ICG recruitment rules.

Vacancy Details

Selection Process

1. Stage I Exam: Written Examination
2. Stage II Exam: Interview and Medical Examination
3. Final Selection: Based on overall performance in the exams and interview.
